READ THE BIBLE

• Luke 4:16-21

• Luke 4 38-44

REFLECT ON WHAT IT MEANS

These two passages tell us about the ministry of Jesus. They show us that He came to bring us freedom from our old lives, from sin, from sickness, and from being caught up in spiritual and emotional problems.

The passages also tell us that this is the time of God’s favour and that God is going to do good things for us in our lives, now. We also read about healings and freedom from evil spirits as we read and learn about Jesus teaching. All of our needs are met in Jesus - he really did sort it all out!

RELATE IT TO YOUR LIFE

On your Encounter this weekend, expect God to do miraculous things for you, too. If you're reading this afterwards, think back and see if you have a testimony of God bringing a change to your challenges. If you're still waiting for God to help in any areas of your life, dare to believe that He wants too, and can... and then ask Him!
